Throughout this course I learned a lot about how to better my writing, reading, and presenting.
Throughout the semester on my first assignment, I received feedback saying how I should add more detail to my writing and analyse quotations more thoroughly. After reading this it became my primary goal. Over the course of this semester, I would say that my writing has improved in the means of detail. Also, another thing that helped me throughout this course was the lesson on thesis statements. It helped me learn to write more clear, better statements and improve my overall essay mark.
This course also helped a bit with my presentation skills. For example I was told on my first seminar to slow down when I speak. So on the kite runner seminar I focused greatly on trying to pace myself when speaking. However, I may not have made much improvement, but being someone with social anxiety it's actually a really big improvement.
On the reading side of this course, I became much better with analysing quotations, and text. This was primarily due to Macbeth, which caused me to have to think about the text much more in order to understand it.
Over all, I found that I quite enjoyed this course, and its relations to human rights, and I found the continuous feedback quite helpful.
